What happens when I have paid?

When the amount you owed has been paid in full, the case will be closed and any payment notice will be deleted. If you want documentation that the case has been closed, you can contact us via My page, and we will send you this.

What is "delay interest"?

Late payment interest is extra interest that you as the debtor must pay, if the payment of an invoice has not taken place by the due date. The rates are determined by the state every six months.

If a debt collection case goes to legal collection by the bailiff, the claimant / creditor must pay a fee for the case to be processed. This cost will be added to the amount you have to pay, in line with the legislation.

What happens if I fail to pay?

If you do not pay the invoice you have received, the claim will be higher, due to interest and fees. Depending on the course of the case, it may happen that a personal payment notice is registered against you. The case can also be sent to the Tax Collector for compulsory collection. In this case, this can lead to a lien on a bank account, deductions from wages or social security and a lien on property or vehicles. If you own an apartment, car or similar items of value, these will in the worst case be forcibly sold in order for the invoice to be met.

If you have received a debt collection letter associated with an invoice that you have already paid, we recommend that you send us a receipt showing that the amount has been paid as soon as possible. If you disagree with the requirement, or believe you have not purchased the service / product, you can register this in My page. You should do that as soon as possible. ‍ When you register the objection, it is important that you tell us what you have done so far, that you carefully describe why you disagree - and whether you have had contact with the seller yourself. We stop the debt collection process as soon as possible and forward the objection to the seller. After we have spoken to the seller, we will contact you again to clarify the further process.
